Cocktail Q-sauce Meatballs

1 pt. Q- Sauce
I slice firm textured bread soaked in enough milk to cover
1 lb. ground beef; or beef, pork and veal combination.
1 egg, well beaten
1T. chopped parsley
1 large shallots finely chopped (2 Tablespoons)
1 T. canola oil
1 t. salt
½ t. paprika
½ t. black pepper

Sautee shallots in oil until tender and let cool. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a medium size bowl combine the cooked shallots, meat, egg, parsley, salt, paprika and black pepper. Remove bread from the milk squeezing out some of the milk but leaving the bread moist and easy to break apart, add to the meat mixture. Using your hands mix all ingredients thoroughly together.

Using clean wet hands form the meat into 1 inch balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking parchment 1 inch apart.

Bake in a 400 degree oven 15 minutes, check to see that they are cooked through. Remove from oven and let cool about 10 minutes. Have Q-Sauce warm in a pot large enough to hold Q-Sauce and meatballs. Being carefull not to break the meatballs put them in the Q-Sauce. Stir to coat and bring to a simmer. Cook about 5 minutes to heat through.

Serve with cocktail picks.
